This Month's Prayer Letter
The Plane Facts - April 2006

March/April 2006
Dear Friends,
Sharon and I met Paul and Kristie Worfel, (who are here
visiting) in 1976 at a Full Gospel Businessmen's Breakfast in Rochester, NY.
Paul is now a professor, in the Education Department at Huntington
University, a Christian College, in Indiana.  Kristie performs and teaches
mime for the Lord and professionally over several states.  Ecuadorians love
drama, puppets and mime, so Kristie's talents drew quite a crowd in the park
as she portrayed the trap of sin and mankind's need for the Lord.  A group
of young people visiting the HCJB hospital are also in town and gave
powerful public testimonies of who Jesus is!!
These last few days have been very difficult here.  A "National
Strike" has been declared in protest against Occidental Petroleum Company,
and a Free Trade Agreement the Ecuadorian Congress is entering into with the
U.S.  Rioting and looting have erupted everywhere, and all the roads have
been cut off by people burning tires and other debris.  Our oil rich jungle
province is demanding tens of millions of dollars in benefits from the Oil
Company and the Central Government.  At this writing the Minister of
Economic Affairs and Strike Leaders are meeting at the military base right
next-door to our house.  We do not believe we are in danger at this time,
but we ask you to please pray for the  country of Ecuador, it's leaders and
the choices they are making.
My cousin Dave Dopp and his wife Diana live in San Antonio, TX and
manage our "yourmissionary.org" website.  Their youngest son Eric was riding
down the freeway on his motorcycle, on his way home from work, when a car
sped by and suddenly decided to exit.  This action forced Eric unavoidably
to crash into a concrete abutment sending him to the hospital in very
critical condition. God has kept Eric alive and on our minds every day since
we heard of this tragedy.  Dave and Diana are asking us to pray and get
others to pray for their son as well.  We serve a mighty God and NOTHING is
impossible for Him.  Will you please help us ask God for Eric's complete
recovery?  I believe that is what the Lord will do.  Thank you for
interceding with us.
MAY GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY, YOUR MINISTRY AND YOUR LIFE IN HIM!!

Love like Jesus does,
Rick and Sharon LaBouef
